Train from Lund (swe) to Berlin (de) goes through Baltic sea in a ship. This was my first time sitting in a train which rolls into a ship, very exciting. Harbor is Trelleborg in Sweden and after few hours sail we arrived Sassnitz harbor in Germany. While being on board the ship you can go to deck having a dinner, walking around or shopping, or you can stay in train sleeping. What a nice way to travel! ---- Juna nimeltä "Berlin Night Express" Etelä-Ruotsista Berliiniin kulkee osan matkasta laivassa. Videossa näkyy kun juna ajaa laivaan Trelleborgin satamassa Ruotsissa kesällä 2010. Hauska tapa matkustaa Saksaan, suosittelen kokeilemaan.

The National Gateway Project will allow CSX to increase its intermodal capacity to double the volume they currently sh...

Intermodal freight transport From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Intermodal freight transport involves the transportation of freight in an intermodal container or vehicle, using multiple modes of transportation (rail, ship, and truck), without any handling of the freight itself when changing modes. The method reduces cargo handling, and so improves security, reduces damages and losses, and allows freight to be transported faster. Reduced costs over road trucking is the key benefit for intracontinental use. This may be offset by reduced timings for road transport over shorter distances. Double-stacked container transport Since 1984, a mechanism for intermodal shipping known as double-stack rail transport has become increasingly common. Rising to the rate of nearly 70% of United St...
